IELTS PREPARATION

This is a 20-hour per week full-time IELTS Preparation course taught by experienced teachers who structure their lessons to ensure students’ success. The course covers all four modules of the IELTS test and includes regular practice tests and personalised guidance and support.

AEA’s course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive and effective approach to exam preparation. The course has a proven track record of success and is widely respected for its ability to help students achieve their target scores.

LEVELS AVAILABLE

  • IELTS Foundation: Pre-Intermediate (available only in the morning timetable)
  • IELTS Preparation: Intermediate to Advanced

CHOOSE FROM 2 TIMETABLES

  • Morning: 8:00 – 13:00 (Monday-Thursday)
  • Evening: 17:30 – 21:30 (Monday-Friday)

WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH IELTS?

  • Achieve the required band score to enter the ICL Graduate Business School, University or any other tertiary courses
  • Demonstrate your English proficiency level to employers
  • Gain the score you need for migration
  • Achieve a high score in an internationally recognised English proficiency test

Entry Requirements

  • Students must be at least 16 years old for Morning and Afternoon classes, and at least 18 years old for Evening classes
  • Completed and signed the ICL application form*
  • Passport
  • Possess the appropriate visa
  • Student/Travel Insurance**
  • Meet the minimum entry-level requirement***

*Other forms may be required, such as the Under-18 Student Agreement Form, if applicable.

**Insurance is mandatory for all students on a Student Visa, WHV, AEWV, partner visa and visitor visa as per ICL, NZQA and INZ policies; it does not apply to permanent residents and citizens. The insurance must cover all the stipulations outlined in Section No.9 of the Terms and Conditions within our Application Form. 

***Applicants must meet the minimum English level requirement to join the IELTS Preparation course. For the Morning timetable, the minimum entry level is Pre-Intermediate. For the Evening timetable, the minimum is Intermediate. If these requirements are not met—either after sitting the AEA Placement Test on Orientation Day or by submitting an accepted English proficiency test (e.g. IELTS, PTE, Cambridge)—optional preparatory courses will be offered; however, this may not suit the applicant’s preferred timetable.

Course Qualification Disclaimer: This English language course is not a NZQF qualification, and completion of the course will not appear on the learner’s New Zealand Record of Achievement (NZROA).

All IELTS Preparation timetables are full-time courses comprising 20 hours per week.

New full-time 20-hour-per-week course delivered on a convenient 4-day-per-week schedule, 5 hours per day.

Evening Timetable – Monday to Friday

17:30 – 19:30 | Lesson 1 120 Min
19:30 – 19:50 | Break 20 Min
19:50 – 21:30 | Lesson 2 100 Min

Full-time 20-hour-per-week course delivered on a 5-day-per-week schedule, 4 hours per day.
